The Grit Difference

We don't cut corners. We simply build the best Class B camper vans for sale in California, without compromise.

Experience the Grit Difference in a Generational Link 148

Our Philosophy

We have created a Generational Class B RV that will last a lifetime!

An AWD camper van should serve as a gateway to the diverse California wilderness rather than a liability that leaves you stranded in remote regions. The Link 148 maintains steady progress through every mile, facilitating lifelong memories with your family across the varied California landscapes. You can travel with total certainty and shed the burden of mechanical-failure anxiety.

Reflecting the structural integrity of the Ford chassis, the Link 148 offers immense durability for California explorers seeking a travel partner for the next several decades. This goes beyond simple transportation. The Class B RV California drivers invest in serves as a permanent asset built to withstand many years of intense use.

We ignore temporary social media trends and aesthetic fads that lack substance. California travelers need Class B RVs that remain fully operational when the Sierra Nevada winter sets in or when desert heat intensifies. Our strategy remains clear: We manufacture the dependable Class B camper van California adventurers trust for the freedom of off-grid living.

MADE IN THE USA

Our adventure vans are meticulously assembled by skilled local builders in the Pacific Northwest. The Link 148 represents the spirit of our region, utilizing materials gathered from Washington and Oregon whenever feasible. This dedication promotes sustainable manufacturing practices and aids the domestic economy by prioritizing regional business partnerships.

We Build Our Vans to Last a Lifetime

The rugged California environment demands significantly more from an AWD camper van, so California explorers need more than a standard vehicle can provide. The Link 148 meets this challenge as a legitimate generational RV engineered for long-term reliability. Our builds exclude flimsy wooden cabinetry or fragile parts that require constant repairs. Solid construction paired with advanced sound-dampening technology ensures your trips are quieter and more comfortable.

Your California expeditions should focus on the scenery rather than troubleshooting equipment failures.

Grit Overland prioritizes functional utility over creating a four wheel drive van designed to look pretty in pictures. Enthusiasts receive the Class B camper van California terrain requires, emphasizing three essential pillars: strength, reliability, and longevity.

The Link 148 AWD camper van functions as a family heirloom rather than just a vehicle. We utilize precision-welded aluminum and secure bolted fasteners to produce a cabin that stays silent and sturdy. Built for rigorous use, it incorporates necessary amenities like a fully integrated bathroom. This machine ensures that your current travels eventually become the adventures your children enjoy years from now.

Safety & Certifications

Meets FMVSS (“Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards”) rating for the United States.

All Grit Overland Van Models are inspected, certified & receive a serial number.  (Our manufacturing exceeds all fire safety, electrical & plumbing industry standards.)

UV-Stabilized Marine Board

  • Stands up to the elements without absorbing moisture.
  • Doesn’t require edge band finishing or coatings to seal it & make it look good. (These are 2 major points of failure we totally avoid).

Top-Of-The-Line Vinyl Flooring

We’ve tested dozens of flooring materials & this is the best we’ve found thus far.

The flooring material is only half of the durability equation. We also consider the compatible methods for adhering it.

  • Will it stay adhered under extreme conditions? (Like: cold, heat, direct sunlight).
  • What does it look like after heavy use? (Scratched, dented, under heavy items, after wet items, etc.)

Marine-Grade Upholstery Material

Even our upholstery includes a water proof layer, to prevent moisture from penetrating into the underlying substrate.

Lighter Panel Material

Because our framing creates the needed structural support, we can use lighter panel material in many places.

Locally Sourced & Sustainable Materials

We locally source panels made from 100% plantation and sustainable wood sources that contain no tropical species.

Go Farther & Stay Longer

Group adventures provide the best memories, though packing four adults into a vehicle often ruins the experience. We addressed this issue in the Seat 4 Sleep 4 Link 148 model by developing a dedicated Pop-top Sleeping Area. Our Stowaway Bench Seating offers secure travel for additional guests. This hardware meets all FMVSS Safety Standards and supports two people with 3-point seat belts, child safety anchors, and ergonomic armrests.

The Cloud-cap pop-top offers additional space to sleep and relax.
